Episcopal School of Dallas

The Episcopal School of Dallas library renovation showcased FCS Dallas’s ability to transform educational environments through imaginative millwork design. This striking installation features a seamless wood wall system with integrated circular openings that create engaging, functional spaces for young learners.

The centerpiece is a large circular portal that opens into a cozy reading nook, complete with built-in bench seating and custom shelving systems. Additional circular “portholes” in vibrant blue and orange provide visual interest while serving as display windows and interactive elements that capture students’ imagination.

Our craftsmen executed this complex design using precision-cut panels in warm wood tones, requiring expert joinery to achieve the seamless curves and perfect circular openings. Every element was carefully measured and fabricated to integrate flawlessly with the existing architecture while creating distinct learning zones within the open library space.

The project demonstrates our expertise in educational millwork that goes beyond traditional cabinetry, creating environments that inspire learning through thoughtful design and exceptional craftsmanship. The result is a space where function meets creativity, encouraging students to explore and engage with their surroundings.
